Half Crazy and Totally Proud

Chad and his sister ran a half marathon last weekend! Pretty cool huh! This is the first race he has ran ever. His sister ran one last fall and talked him into trying it too. He even finished about 20-30 minutes faster than he thought he would (which contributed to the fact that I missed him crossing the finish line...but lets not talk about that) Anyhoo I am very proud of his accomplishment and love that he is a great example for our kids...because we all know I won't be showing them that one. Maybe I'll run the kidsK with them, that's about all I can or want to run. Remember this previous post. Way to go Chad and Cheree!

King For a Day!

I got to go with Ethan on his end of year Kindergarten fieldtrip to the children's museum. In the beginning of the fieldtrip they had a cute little interactive play where they needed the kids to wear costumes and play the parts. Ethan was a little too shy to volunteer but after the play started it was obvious he was a little sad that he didn't volunteer to be in it. On the next station they were telling the kids about medieval times and the first helper they needed was to be King Arthur. Ethan's hand shot up and he was chosen to be king. I think he learned a little lesson that day about not letting opportunities pass you by! Isn't he a cutie!

Vacation

Chad and I had the opportunity in April to go to Williamsburg, Virginia and Washington D.C. He had a work conference in Williamsburg for most of the week and then we decided to stay a few extra days to go to D.C. We left our kiddos with brave grandmas and grandpas (a million thanks to them)and off we went. We had a lot of fun and it was neat to see this part of the country. We got to see a lot of historical sights and we learned a ton. Here are just a few pictures for now. Since Chad was in conferences for three of the days I hung out and took pictures so I have a lot to play with and weed through. It was nice to read a book, take a billion pictures, shop with a few other wives, and just relax in the hotel room. I even slept in until 9:30 one morning!! I will share more later.

The Rest of Easter

I never did finish posting about Easter. Here are some collages of all the Easter fun. I love the last photo so it got its own spot. I thought it was pretty cute of my dad chasing Emma around trying to get some pictures...that's a hard task!

Eggs

We colored eggs on the Saturday before Easter. The kids love doing this. This year Emma was able to do a little more but we geared her away from the dye and into the stickers which she loved. However once she discovered what happened to the eggs when she slammed it down they were history. I love seeing the eggs together with all their pretty colors!

Lots to read...

Okay I know I'm a little sporadic at my blogging. I've posted a lot so you may even have to go to the next page to read it all...if you want to :)
